Set in 8 acres of leafy grounds, St Aubyn’s has outstanding facilities to enable excellent educational provision in all areas.
We have a Sportshall, 3 all weather pitches, a large sports playing field, a pupil kitchen, a spacious art and design technology studio, a performing arts centre, a performance studio, music practice rooms, a whole school library and 2 ICT rooms. The School is continually looking for ways to develop the school experience for our children.
Our Dining Hall facility also incorporates a staffroom and a Performance Space. The Dining Hall has helped to create an opportunity to improve the eating experience for the children and staff. The children enjoy the occasion through good food from our new caterers, Holroyd Howe, engaging conversations with their peers and staff.
It is always important to look for ways to improve teacher well-being and the new staffroom with modern facilities goes a long way in helping us achieve this aim. Our staffroom can accommodate all three departments and, as a result, I can conduct my morning briefings with all staff present in one area. The new area is also perfect for staff meetings and training days. The important social benefit is that the teachers have a quiet and sophisticated place to relax and enjoy refreshments. Having a comfortable area in which to engage with peers contributes to improved teacher well-being.
The teaching of drama and dance is enhanced by the purpose-built Performance Space.
The Nursery accommodates two classes of enquiring three-year-olds. The impressive design specification takes into account the demands of EYFS. With wide, open-plan classes that include conservatories and bespoke furniture, the teachers have every resource at their disposal. This enables the children to have the best start to their academic journeys, which prepares them for their life at St. Aubyn’s beyond the Nursery years.
We look forward to showing you around our facilities at our Open Day on 23 September. Click below for further details.
