Dear Parents,
Simon Detre’s article in Conference Common Room Magazine states that he does not consider tutoring to be an academic panacea (a solution for all difficulties). This is a sentiment I wholeheartedly agree with.
The tutoring industry is worth an estimated £2 billion. By tutoring, I do not mean help given to a pupil who has difficulty with a particular aspect of their schoolwork.
