At St. Aubyn’s, school life extends far beyond the academic timetable. We believe that the most successful learners are those who discover their passions, develop resilience through challenge and build the confidence that comes from trying something new.
Across eight acres of purpose-built facilities – from a professional-grade performing arts Centre to three all-weather pitches and dedicated outdoor learning spaces – our pupils have access to more than 40 weekly co-curricular activities spanning sport, music, drama, coding, chess, cooking, mindfulness and much more.
What makes St. Aubyn’s different? Most of these activities are included in the fees. While other schools charge for clubs as expensive extras, we believe that breadth of opportunity should be part of every child’s education, not a premium add-on. The result is a school where children don’t just achieve academically; they flourish as confident, well-rounded individuals with interests and skills that set them apart at senior school interviews and beyond.

More than 40 weekly activities – from chess and coding to cadets, cooking and mindfulness – give every child the chance to explore new interests, develop skills and build friendships across year groups. Activities run before and after school from Reception and most are included in the fees.
Led by Director of Sport Mr Garry Bayntun, our competitive and recreational sports programme spans football, cricket, rugby, hockey, netball, athletics, cross-country and more – across three all-weather pitches, a large playing field, indoor sports hall and hardcourt areas. Regular fixtures from U9 to U11 build teamwork, resilience and a love of physical activity.
Every pupil participates in music, drama and dance from Nursery to Year 6. Our purpose-built performing arts Centre, hosts termly concerts, annual productions and instrumental tuition in private practice rooms from 15 visiting specialists. A dedicated Drama and Dance Studio completes the provision.
Eight acres of green space in the heart of Woodford Green – including a wellbeing garden (The Harmony Hub), sustainability garden and outdoor amphitheatre – provide dedicated environments for outdoor learning, reflection and environmental education. Our grounds are a competitive advantage for your child’s education.
From Place2Be professional counselling and Jigsaw PSHE to anxiety workshops and two qualified nurses, wellbeing at St. Aubyn’s is proactive, structured and embedded into daily life. Children learn to recognise and express their emotions with increasing confidence – the foundation for academic success.
From before-school care at 7:30am through lessons, co-curricular activities finish at 5pm and wraparound provision until 6pm, see how a day unfolds for pupils at different stages – and how academic learning, wellbeing, sport, creativity and community weave together into a purposeful, happy routine.
