Meet members of our PTA, better known as SASS

Who open days are for
Open days are suitable for families considering entry at any stage, including Early Years, Pre-Prep and Prep School.
If you are already confident that St. Aubyn’s may be the right fit for your child, you may prefer to arrange a personal tour instead.
We offer specialist-led teaching in small classes, featuring academic stretch programmes, inclusive extracurriculars, and expert SEND support from the very start.

Typically St. Aubyn’s hosts three open day events in a year, one in the autumn, a second in winter and a third in the spring.
Yes, we’d be delighted to welcome you and your family. There are always fresh questions to ask our team whilst keeping familiar with the school and staff. Plus our Year 5 & 6 tour guides give varied and useful insights about their experiences of being a pupil here.
Unfortunately parking isn’t available at the school during an open day, however there are lots of local residential roads that can be used. Of course, in line with our dedication to sustainability, we encourage using public transport or arriving by foot where possible.
Our Senior Leadership Team and admissions registrar are available to speak to at events. Your school guides are Year 5 & 6 pupils who provide authentic insights into each aspect of school life. Additionally, during our autumn event teachers and some support staff are available to speak with too.
Busy lives and schedules understandably mean that you might not be available on the day of our school open events, therefore personal tours with admissions registrar, Mrs Helen Madden, are available on selected term dates throughout the school year.
Following open day families are invited to discuss next steps with our admissions team and begin the admissions process by registering your child via our online form.

We encourage families to register interest early, particularly for popular entry points.
Assessments and visits
Where appropriate, children are invited to take part in an age-appropriate assessment or taster session. These are designed to be supportive and familiar, allowing us to understand how your child learns and engages.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to visit the school as part of the process, either through an open day or a personal tour.

Our admissions team will guide you through timelines, key dates and Next steps, keeping communication clear and timely throughout.

Most importantly, you’ll be in amongst a typical school day, allowing you to gain genuine insight into our nurturing community. Your visit concludes with a relaxed meeting with the Head to answer your questions.
