Challenge For All defines our approach, ensuring both stretch and support in every lesson, according to each pupil’s needs. Small class sizes and specialist teaching from Nursery allow us to understand how each child learns best, challenging every pupil according to their current ability while building the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for the 11+ and beyond.

Academic progression is carefully sequenced so that knowledge, skills and exam readiness build year on year. Preparation for the 11+ is embedded into daily teaching from an early stage and considered from your child’s very first day with us. By the time pupils sit entrance examinations, they have been thoroughly and confidently prepared.

Academic excellence at St. Aubyn’s extends well beyond the traditional timetable. Trips, workshops, visiting speakers, inter-school competitions and an extensive co-curricular programme develop intellectual curiosity, independence and the breadth of experience that distinguishes pupils at interview and beyond. Most clubs and enrichment activities are included within the fees.

We warmly invite you to a personal guided tour with Admissions Registrar, Mrs Helen Madden. During your visit, you’ll explore classrooms, creative spaces, and sports facilities to see how children grow in confidence and curiosity while building firm foundations for a lifetime of learning.
Most importantly, you’ll be in amongst a typical school day, allowing you to gain genuine insight into our nurturing community. Your visit concludes with a relaxed meeting with the Head to answer your questions.
