Head
Louis leads St. Aubyn’s with a clear vision: that Academic excellence and personal wellbeing are inseparable. He knows every child by name and is a visible, approachable presence across the school – in classrooms, at fixtures and at the school gate each morning. Under his leadership, St. Aubyn’s has achieved a 100% 11+ offer rate and continues to invest in the breadth and quality of school life.
Deputy Head (Administration)
Marcus oversees the operational life of the school and serves as the Designated Safeguarding Lead – ensuring that the safety and welfare of every child underpins everything St. Aubyn’s does. His role bridges the academic and pastoral, from managing day-to-day school life to leading the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures.
Deputy Head (Academic)
Carol drives the academic vision across the school – from curriculum design and assessment strategy to timetabling and specialist teaching. She works closely with subject leads and year group teams to ensure every child is challenged, supported and making excellent progress. The school’s outstanding 11+ results and NACE Challenge Award reflect her commitment to academic ambition for all.
Head of Prep and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
Leo leads the Prep School (Years 3-6), guiding children through the critical years of growing independence, academic specialisation and preparation for senior school. He combines high academic expectations with a deep understanding of child development – ensuring that every pupil is both stretched and supported as they approach the 11+. Leo also serves as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Head of Pre-Prep and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
Claire leads the EYFS and Pre-Prep department (Nursery to Year 2), nurturing children through the foundational years where a love of learning, core skills and social confidence are built. Under her leadership, the Pre-Prep is a warm, structured and stimulating environment where children develop the curiosity and resilience that will carry them through the rest of their education. Claire also serves as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Bursar
Cindy manages the financial and operational foundations of the school – ensuring that St. Aubyn’s resources are directed where they matter most: outstanding teaching, exceptional facilities and the breadth of opportunity that defines the St. Aubyn’s experience. Her work supports everything from the maintenance of the school’s eight-acre site to investment in new programmes and resources.

Deputy Head of Pre-Prep
Lucy supports Mrs Clair Macneill in leading the Pre-Prep department, bringing particular expertise in early literacy and the transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1.
Deputy Head of Prep
Anna supports Leo Milton in leading the Prep School, with a focus on academic stretch, pupil progress and ensuring every child is well-prepared for the demands of Year 5 and 6.
Head of Learning Support (SENDCo)
Charlotte leads the school’s learning support provision – from identifying individual learning needs early to delivering tailored interventions, one-to-one support and working closely with families to ensure every child reaches their potential.
Director of Sport
Garry oversees the school’s comprehensive sports programme – from PE and games lessons to competitive fixtures, swimming, athletics and the active use of St. Aubyn’s three all-weather pitches and extensive grounds.
Head of Languages
Laetitia leads modern foreign language teaching across the school, including French from Nursery and additional language opportunities as children progress through the Prep School.
Head of Art & Design Technology
Nikki leads creative learning across the school – from early mark-making in EYFS to specialist art, design and technology in the Prep School, nurturing creativity, problem-solving and self-expression.
Head of Computing & Digital Innovation
Nipun leads the school’s computing and digital literacy curriculum, ensuring children develop the technical skills, coding knowledge and digital citizenship they need for the future.
Head of Drama and Dance
Lisa collaborates with Ms Penny Manser to bring school productions to life, crafting crisp choreography, precise direction, and memorable sets and costumes. Beyond the stage, she leads the dance programme, embedded within the PE curriculum to foster creativity and performance skills in all pupils.
Head of Music
Penny leads a thriving music department – from classroom music across all year groups to individual instrumental tuition with 15 visiting specialists, ensemble groups, choirs and performance opportunities throughout the year.
