Mr. Taylor’s last word

So here we are – the last, last word for the academic year 25/26. I thought it would be good to use a version of the speech I gave at Prize Giving as our last message this term.

It has, of course, been a very quiet year at St. Aubyn’s. Very little has happened. Nothing major.

Nothing that would require letters to parents, meetings with governors, strategic planning, legal documents, press releases, transition groups, working parties, or several hundred conversations on the school gate.

Just a normal, quiet year.

I am, of course, referring to the small matter of St. Aubyn’s joining the Bancroft’s Family of Schools. In seriousness, this is a hugely exciting moment in the history of St. Aubyn’s. It gives the school a strong and secure future, while allowing us to protect the warmth, character and identity that make this school so special.DOWNLOAD the last newsletter for the academic year 2025-2026
